Fall Lessons

Beginners and

Students with previous lessons

Piano Grades 1st - 12th

Fall 2018 (August 19 – Mid May)

  • Ages: 1st Grade and up (or Kindergarten students who have attended Mini Music Makers)
  • Skill Level: Great for beginners and students with previous lessons

Description:

We plan and implement fun lessons, conducted in 55-minute weekly sessions, which include teaching, reviewing, listening, and encouraging. Students follow Alfred’s Premier Piano course, levels 1A through 6. Following this, students graduate to the Advanced college prep course, studying the great classics alongside improvisation and chord playing.  Each level incrementally teaches various scales and chord cadences, preparing students to play jazz and rock styles, as well as to transpose and to play in every key. Starting in level 3, students begin to apply what they’ve already learned about chords to lead sheets, preparing them to play in a band. Improvisation and composition are an integral part of each lesson. By the completion of Arrow’s unique and thorough curriculum, students will be well equipped for a college audition, to play in a worship team or jazz ensemble, or both.

Cost:

Tuition of $99/month, plus one-time $129 materials fee due upon registration. August tuition is also due at registration ($228 total due upon registration).  Includes:

  • 32 weekly lessons
  • 4 live performances
    • Fall Concert
    • Christmas Concert at local Nursing Home
    • Arrow Fest Ensemble Concert
    • Spring Concert at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt
    • Optional: National Piano Guild Audition
